Ready to Work

We had a nice Sunday worshipping and relaxing in Kamulu. It was all about fellowship, sharing meals, studying God’s word, resting, celebrating transformed lives and just enjoying being alive and together. I imagine its just the way God intended.

We’re ready to get to work this morning. I will finally get to teach some classes, now that the computer lab is put back together. Everyone has been excited with the new look and can’t beieve we have 8 workstations connected to the internet (I can’t believe it either). I will be working with the nine computer skills students and the Bible students this week.

Steve has had great success at the farm. He has gotten the tractor up and running! He removed and cleaned up the starter, selonoid, bought a new battery and even made his own battery cables. You can’t find new battery cables here, so he and Charles (the machanic) bought the parts and made their own. The tractor fired right up. They will continue to work on it this week (hydrolic system) and will fine tune the other tractor as well.

On a side note, we’re going into Nairobi city centre to eat at CARNIVORE restraunt with the Pepperdine group. Their wedding party has all arrived and this is their first of many celebratory meals, and they invited Steve and me. This group is fantastic. If you don’t know about CARNIVORE restraunt check it out: http://www.tamarind.co.ke/restaurant.php?id=1.
